GT RTS-1 1993

The basis for this build was the 1992 Downhill Worlds winning bike from Juli Furtado. The RTS became available for the public the next year.

This build however is more how I like it, with another cockpit and some things changed.

The aluminium front frame has been fully handpolished and the True Temper steel rear frame has had a new powdercoat.

Of course a full new decalset from #retrodecals.

My goal was to build it with a NOS full Shimano XTR M900 groupset. Only the hubs are from another brand (Ringle)

A Rock Shox Mag 21 up front and Noleen takes care of the rear suspension.

Syncros stem and handlebar with a nice set of Onza barends and grips.

Mavic ceramic rims on Ringle hubs. Newly produced Panaracer Smoke and Dart tyres.

Just don't look at the seatpost, this needs a change..
