Raleigh John Tomac Signature 1991

One of the most iconic bikes in bikehistorie, this bikes embodies one of the most defining decades in mountainbike historie.

Made by Merlin and later Litespeed, the carbon tubes and titanium lugs/rear triangle re-defines framebuilding techniques and materials used.

With the original frames being a really rare example of bike historie, there are not many going around, most of them that are still alive are being owned by collectors. So during the Covid-period I've decided to new-build this frame, as I am of course primarily a framebuilder.

At the start of the 1991 seasons Tomac rode the destinctive dropbar setup, later to be changed to a straight bar.

Of course the Manitou fork, a Shimano XT groupset with Dura Ace levers/shifters and of course the first generation of the illustrious Tioga Tension Disc wheel.

Decals are made by Gil from Retrodecals in UK.
